The role involves assisting with inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems while working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems across the plant
Assist with preventative maintenance, equipment servicing, and lubrication
Support inspections, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs
Work alongside contractor personnel to ensure quality, safety, and productivity
Participate in formal training, on-the-job learning, and cross-training initiatives
Communicate with process area teams to share information and resolve issues
Suggest cost-saving or productivity-improving initiatives when appropriate
Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts
Work rotating shifts and weekends as assigned
Support additional plant functions as needed
Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and promote a strong safety culture
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Valid driver's license required
Ability to comply with PPE and respirator requirements
Preferred
Technical college education (2 years) in a related field preferred
2–4 years of industrial experience as a millwright or mechanical maintenance technician
Experience with gearbox rebuilding, shaft alignment, and bearing installation preferred
Familiarity with cement plants or similar heavy industrial environments is a plus
