Produce Ops Specialist

Responsibilities
Teaches and trains store teams to effectively implement the merchandising and sales plans to include:
Production, handling and packaging procedures to maintain quality product and freshness
Stocking, display building, backroom standards, sales floor standards
Selection and maintenance of product variety by store within merchandising guidelines
Implementation of plan-a-grams by store case layout and display support
Implementation of stocking methods and price change procedures to ensure price integrity
Implementation of in store coding policy of product to ensure customer satisfaction
Order writing to achieve the desired product case/display presentation
Case display and equipment cleaning/sanitizing methods
Manages performance for the achievement of planned and expected results through established benchmarks in the areas of: (1) sales, (2) shrink, (3) EBITDA, (4) gross margin, (5) labor expense, (6) customer satisfaction and (7) store team development
Partners with store management and merchandising team in:
Providing timely feedback and escalate problems or issues preventing execution of plans
Optimizing operating and merchandising goals
Supports store departments and cross-functional operations in:
Implementation of merchandising programs
Presentation and cleanliness
Defined benchmark measurements
Training and monitoring loss stores/loss departments
Minimization of shrink
Safety and sanitation procedures
Reports to District Manager as the department expert to provide feedback on opportunity store departments and strategies to improve performance
Participates in departmental and district sales meetings
Instills a high degree of customer awareness and satisfactions which enhances the customer's experience
Monitors competitor activities and provides feedback to merchandising team to make recommendations related to local relevance
Provides guidance in opening new and remodeled stores
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate proven planning, organizational and leadership skills
Analyze/resolve issues independently
Interpersonal and business skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships within the company and in the community
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
Possess basic PC skills and desktop applications
Preferred
Previous Store Director, Assistant Store Director or Department Manager experience with P&L exposure and accountability preferred
