$15/hr - $20/hrNEOGOV is seeking a Seasonal Engineering/Land Surveying Intern to assist Public Works staff with various field and office operations related to highway construction and land surveying. The intern will be supervised by the Engineering or Surveying & Mapping departments and will have responsibilities that include construction inspection assistance and GPS/GIS data collection.

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED - preferably with some Civil Engineering or Land Surveying field experience or post-secondary education
A valid Minnesota driver license
Basic knowledge of civil engineering/surveying principles and practices
Preferred
Currently enrolled or have previously taken classes in a civil engineering, surveying, or closely related undergraduate or technical college program
At least one year of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
At least one year of experience in Microsoft Excel
At least one year of experience assisting with highway construction inspections
At least one year of experience assisting a construction survey crew
At least one year of experience operating survey instruments
At least one year of experience operating survey grade GPS equipment
At least one year of experience assisting with traffic counting and traffic data collection
At least one year of experience using Computer Aided Drafting software
At least one year of experience using Geographic Information System software
At least one year of experience using the other products (minus Excel) in the Microsoft Suite
