Responsibilities
Assist in computer-aided design (CAD) operations, including plan production and entry-level design tasks under moderate supervision
Develop detailed drawings for utility transmission and substation projects using MicroStation, Revit, or AutoCAD
Support the creation and modification of plan sheets, layouts, and design models
Assist in updating project specifications, running design calculations, and determining material needs
Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to ensure project accuracy and efficiency
Perform engineering support tasks, including gathering data, maintaining computer files, and documenting design changes
Participate in client meetings and site visits to better understand project requirements and design feasibility
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well with a team
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar design software
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively
Preferred
Associate degree in a related field
Experience in substation or utility transmission design
