Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated tests for microservices and REST APIs
Build, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks
Perform API testing using Java, Groovy, Python, Spock, TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD tools
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Conduct end-to-end testing across all SDLC phases and test cycles
Analyze requirements and application architecture to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Document defects clearly and track them using Jira or similar tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases
(Preferred) Provide guidance or leadership to QA resources when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of experience in Software QA / Quality Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Groovy, Python
Proven expertise in REST API development and testing
Deep understanding of microservices architecture
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration
Hands-on experience with Jira, TestRail, or similar test management tools
Familiarity with all major test cycles: Unit, Regression, Functional, System, Performance, Volume, UAT
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Provide guidance or leadership to QA resources when needed
Exposure to AI-driven testing is a plus
Prior QA leadership experience (2–4 years) is a plus
