Intake Screener
Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking an Intake Screener who will independently manage inquiries and perform admission screenings. The role involves evaluating incoming inquiries, completing screenings with potential patients, and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately captured.

Responsibilities
Evaluate incoming inquiries to determine and explain the next step to accessing care at Rogers
Complete screenings with potential patients and/or their representatives
Demonstrate understanding and explanation of admitting processes
Understand clinical criteria necessary for admission to Rogers’ programs
Describe levels of care within Rogers to potential patients and/or their representatives
Gather demographic and insurance information of potential patients and/or responsible representatives
Understand how to utilize and explain Rogers’ contracted payor listing
Obtain and review insurance information via portal for applicable insurance types
Review clinical information collected on the screening with clinicians for immediate safety concerns, inpatient recommendation, or as needed to support the review process
Demonstrate understanding an explanation of policies and procedures related to bed assignment and capacity/capability limitations
Attend and participate in department training, education, and process improvement
Ensure all inquiries are entered in the designated system and all necessary information is captured
Ensure referral source information is obtained and entered for each inquiry
Ensure all clinical information is entered accurately into the screening
Ensure quality of call meets department standards
Ensure productivity meets department standards
Connect potential patients and/or their representative with outside resources when indicated
Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities/referents as it relates access to care
Participate in the On-Call, weekend, and holiday schedule, as assigned
Complete other duties as assigned by Patient Access leadership
Understand and apply policies and procedures in accordance with external regulatory agencies:
Attend and participate in development opportunities to increase involvement and awareness of regulations
Comply with Rogers culture agreements and all Hospital’s policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School diploma with 2 years relative experience or bachelor's degree
Computer skills (including but not limited to: utilizing multiple platforms, Microsoft applications, basic troubleshooting)
Completion of required trainings under Rogers' policies
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in healthcare admissions or patient access
Electronic medical record software experience
General health insurance knowledge
