Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level QA strategies, standards, and frameworks to ensure software quality across multiple projects and platforms
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of test automation tools, performance testing solutions, and QA technologies
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Define and enforce best practices in test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing
Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to QA teams and junior architects
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness
Establish metrics and KPIs for quality assessment and communicate results to stakeholders and executive leadership
Conduct risk analysis and proactively identify areas of improvement for product quality and process optimization
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality engineering
Manage and oversee the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, cases, and scripts
Qualification
Required
Minimum 15 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a QA Architect or similar leadership role
Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, software testing life cycles, and test automation frameworks
Extensive experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
Strong expertise in designing and implementing test strategies for large-scale, distributed, or cloud-based applications
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows
Excellent understanding of API testing, performance testing, and security testing
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to mentor and lead cross-functional QA teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience with AI/ML-based testing tools and approaches
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., ISO, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)
Background in performance engineering or chaos engineering
Certification in quality assurance or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Ability to drive test data management and environment provisioning strategies
