Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsible for creation and release of complete and accurate work instructions
Possesses various troubleshooting skills with return to Dwg methodology experience and has general experience assembling / disassembling hardware containing tight or interference tolerances
Participates in RS25 flight engine manufacturing, assembly, and testing
Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals
Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures
Recommends enhancements to systems and processes
Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects
Works under general supervision
Provides design for manufacturability and assembly feedback to design center
Reads and interprets engineering drawings and requirements to translate to process planning that produces conforming hardware
Assists in product and tooling drawing design reviews
Provides technical guidance and/or training to shop floor, design and management teams

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Preferred

Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with all levels of manufacturing staff
Experience with Delmia
Experience with deploying electronic work instructions and/or Bill of Materials (BOM)s
Previous role in manufacturing, front-loading product definition, and technical work instruction development to comply with product and process definitions
Proficiency in machining, geometric design and tolerancing, and assembly processes
