Familiarity with student operations and data domains: enrollment, attendance, scheduling, discipline, special education, grade reporting, assessments, college/career, HR & payroll, and finance
Understanding of K-12 compliance/reporting (e.g., CALPADS, Ed-Fi, ESSA, IDEA, accountability dashboards) and how QA supports data accuracy
Hands-on QA experience with major K-12 platforms (e.g., Aeries, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Synergy, Illuminate, Ed-Fi ODS/API)
QA for integrations across SIS, Special Education (e.g., SEIS/Frontline), Assessment (e.g., CAASPP/ELPAC, NWEA), Learning Management (e.g., Canvas, Schoology), and Data Warehouses
Experience validating data flows, reconciliation rules, and nightly/near-real time sync jobs
Ability to define end-to-end QA strategies and test plans (unit, integration, system, UAT, regression, smoke, performance) aligned to the school year and state reporting calendars
Establishes entry/exit criteria, risk-based test prioritization, and traceability from requirements to defects
Leads defect triage and go/no-go readiness with IT and business owners
