Assembly Team Lead
Vandor Corp is a manufacturing company that is looking for an Assembly Team Lead to direct and coordinate activities in processing materials or manufacturing products. The role involves developing an effective workforce, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
Develops an effective and efficient work force by organizing and allocating team members based on production demands
Develops, implements and maintains a team member training program to ensure that necessary expertise is available, including cross training
Ensures conformity to production requirements with the authority to stop production to correct quality problems
Analyzes operation needs. Requisitions needed tools, jigs, fixtures and gages as part of continuous improvement
Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work place in compliance with all Vandor regulations including applicable local, state and federal laws. Ensures that all team members are working safely
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum ulilization
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
Ensures that team members under his/her supervision comply with the company employment guidelines as stated in the team member handbook
Directs team members to adhere to policies, procedures, work instructions and record keeping
Directs a continuous improvement effort in conjunction with quality, engineering services, production team leaders and maintenance. Makes capital improvement recommendations where appropriate to improve current methods
Coordinates the need for production team members with the human resources team
Ensures all materials are maintained for production
Troubleshoots process to ensure quality standards are met during production of molded parts
Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager
Qualification
Required
Production Supervisors must have and be willing to maintain the technological competency necessary to develop and manage a world class manufacturing facility
Must be a team player, able to work successfully with interdependent teams
Must be able to motivate others to achieve and maintain excellence
Must be self-motivated, a 'self-starter'
Must possess the analytical and problem solving skills necessary to perform the job
Must have trouble shooting capabilities
A high school diploma with additional relevant formal education or equivalent experience is required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
The Assembly Supervisor should have strong reasoning ability. He/she must be able to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, select and implement the alternative and communicate the logic behind the decision to others
Moderate physical demands
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs
A manufacturing environment
Preferred
Supervisory experience
Direct experience in production
At least three to five years of manufacturing experience
