Entech Network Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to support the pricing and pursuit of public and private infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for leading estimating efforts from bid invitation through submission, which includes developing accurate takeoffs, pricing, and bid packages for various civil projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil projects (conceptual through hard bid)

Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for:

Earthwork/grading, excavation, and hauling

Underground utilities (storm, sewer, water), piping, structures, manholes/inlets

Concrete (flatwork, curb/gutter, foundations), asphalt/paving, striping

Roadway items (subbase/base, stabilization, MOT/traffic control, signage)

Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes; ensure full scope coverage

Review plans/specs, geotech reports, and bid requirements; identify risks and gaps

Develop bid summaries, clarifications, alternates, and value engineering ideas

Coordinate with operations to validate means/methods, production rates, and schedule assumptions

Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks; document conditions and constraints

Support proposal preparation (bid forms, narratives, inclusions/exclusions, packaging)

Assist with buyout handoff, bid reviews, and post-bid negotiations as needed

Required

5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil / sitework / infrastructure

Strong understanding of civil scopes: earthwork, utilities, concrete, roadway

Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specs, and bid documents

Proven ability to build complete estimates under deadline with high accuracy

Strong Excel skills and comfort working with takeoff/estimating software

Preferred

Experience with commercial/industrial projects (unit price schedules, DBE goals, etc.)

Familiarity with estimating tools such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bid2Win, Sage Estimating, Trimble/Agtek, Bluebeam, OST (or similar)

Understanding of trucking/haul analysis, dewatering, shoring, MOT, and phasing

Ability to support conceptual budgeting and early design pricing
