Social Media Coordinator

They are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to manage content for Versant Sports’ social platforms, focusing on day-to-day content planning, ideation, and distribution. The role requires a solid knowledge of social media and user behavior, along with creativity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day content management and coverage of the Versant sports portfolio, including but not limited to Golf, NASCAR, Premier League, basketball and volleyball
Clip segments from live sporting events and studio shows in real time
Will work with digital video producers daily to identify key content to be distributed on social media
Maintain voice and content standards across multiple platforms and brands
Work with Versant Sport’s video and editorial teams to create highly-sharable content
Will work with Director of Social Media and team to identify opportunities for increased engagement, video views, and follower growth
Works directly with talent and production teams to support in-studio and on-site content creation
Contribute to team brainstorms by pitching content ideas that will help build video views and audience
Juggle multiple projects with parallel timelines
Qualification
Required
BA or BS from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field
Minimum of (1-2) years of experience producing and distributing content end-to-end for digital and social media platforms
Experience and proficiency in all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook, Threads and BlueSky)
Experience with a variety of social and project management tools (Sprout Social, Airtable, Monday.com, etc.)
Able to track and leverage KPIs, while understanding the rapidly changing social media landscape
Skilled with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) with the ability to edit basic videos for social distribution
Extensive knowledge of sports and internet culture and a pulse on the latest trends
Strong copy editing skills, ability to self-edit your own work
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Creative thinker who can look at digital trends and find innovative ways to tell a story in a piece of content

Must have ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings due to news cycles and breaking news
Preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of sports, particularly Golf / NASCAR / WNBA and/or Premier League
Familiarity with live-video clipping platforms a plus, such as Wildmoka, WSC, Grabyo, etc
Ability to shoot and edit content as needed a plus
Strong understanding of digital trends
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
