Complex Systems Diagnostics Intern
RoboStruct Technologies is hiring a graduate-level engineering intern to support advanced vehicle and fleet health monitoring initiatives. This role involves working on predictive analytics and intelligent fault detection within a diagnostics-focused engineering team.
Responsibilities
Support the design and enhancement of Vehicle and Fleet Health Management (VHM/FHM) systems
Assist in developing system-level health models using telemetry data, design inputs, and diagnostic software
Apply machine learning techniques to detect anomalies, predict failures, and identify root causes
Help build and maintain scalable diagnostic knowledge structures across vehicle platforms and configurations
Explore knowledge graphs and language models to improve fault reasoning, automation, and explainability
Collaborate with system architects and domain experts to convert engineering insights into usable diagnostic logic
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program (Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline)
Strong grounding in systems engineering or vehicle architecture
Hands-on experience with Python, data analysis, and ML (especially time-series or anomaly detection)
Understanding of Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) concepts
Clear communicator with the ability to work both independently and in team settings
Preferred
Exposure to telemetry systems, signal processing, or embedded diagnostics is a plus
Familiarity with knowledge graphs, LLMs, or generative AI is advantageous
