Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and review of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates
Contribute to the design of site infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems, utilities, and retaining structures
Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design approaches and problem-solving
Perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions
Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create and modify design documents
Assist in site visits to gather data, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with design intent
Prepare field reports and provide recommendations based on observations
Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities to advance toward obtaining a PE license
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to pass within a year
Ambition to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license
0-2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (internship or co-op experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience with site design and construction documentation
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to civil engineering projects
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green infrastructure
Experience with industry standard softwares such as ICPR, WaterGEMs, etc
