State of Arizona Enterprise Technology (ASET) is seeking an Equipment Parts Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the parts department. This role involves managing parts inventory, ensuring compliance with procurement laws, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise, plan, schedule, and direct the workflow of subordinates to help meet the maintenance missions of the Equipment Shop
Verify ordered and received parts/supplies are in compliance with Procurement Laws and Regulations ensuring proper buying practices and vendor compliance to contracts terms/conditions
Oversee purchasing, receiving, issuing, inventorying, and distribution (delivery) processes
Initiates the purchase and payment of parts and services to support the maintenance and repair of the State fleet
Open/close and monitor maintenance work orders input into the Fleet Focus Management System and ensure accurate parts/supplies requests/cost data into the Fleet Focus Management System

Required

Overseeing the daily operations of the parts department
Maintaining accurate records of parts inventory
Ordering and receiving parts for a wide variety of light/medium/heavy duty vehicle & equipment
Ensuring compliance with State Procurement Laws as well as ADOT policies and procedures
Ensuring that the parts department meets the quality and safety standards of ADOT and the industry
Supervising, planning, scheduling, and directing the workflow of subordinates
Verifying ordered and received parts/supplies compliance with Procurement Laws and Regulations
Overseeing purchasing, receiving, issuing, inventorying, and distribution processes
Initiating the purchase and payment of parts and services to support the maintenance and repair of the State fleet
Opening/closing and monitoring maintenance work orders input into the Fleet Focus Management System
Ensuring accurate parts/supplies requests/cost data into the Fleet Focus Management System
Knowledge of safe work practices in parts/warehouse
Knowledge of local/state/national suppliers, jobbers, and vendors
Knowledge of OSHA and State Safety regulations/policies pertaining to Parts/Warehouse Operations
Knowledge of procurement laws, rules, and regulations
Knowledge of ADOT and ADOA personnel policies and procedures
Knowledge of Fleet Focus Vehicle Management program
Knowledge of makes, models, and parts information of a variety of automotive, light/medium/heavy duty vehicle/equipment construction equipment, and specialized road maintenance parts
Skill in written and oral communication
Skill in leading and supervising Automotive Parts Personnel with respect to ADOA's/ADOT's Human Resources Policies
Skill in training Automotive Parts Personnel
Skill in problem identification, solving, and analytical processes
Skill in accounting and mathematics
Skill in technical equipment, such as computer programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoints, Google Workspace, label printers, fax, and copy machines
Skill in inputting parts/cost data into Fleet Focus
Skill in obtaining/using EMS Reports and other data collection reports
Skill in interpreting budget and performance reports
Skill in identifying/implementing/enforcing safe work practices for parts/warehouse department employees
Ability to determine/maintain appropriate shop parts/supplies inventories based on past usage/projected needs
Ability to review/audit work order requests, invoices, and other parts/supply related documents, and P-Card Program within the Parts Department
Ability to monitor the parts department workflow and assign work to employees daily or as necessary
Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, customers, and vendors
Ability to operate a variety of department warehouse equipment, vehicles, and forklift
Ability to properly load/unload and secure cargo for vehicle transport
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and pass a physical exam
Three years of supervisory experience
Possessing and retaining a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license
Completing all required training and successfully passing all necessary driver's license record checks
Maintaining acceptable driving records
Completing all required driver training
Maintaining the statutorily required liability insurance if operating a personally owned vehicle on state business
Successfully completing the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Preferred

Two years of experience in the automotive, light, medium, heavy duty, construction vehicle/equipment parts industry with a degree or certification from an automotive vocational school
Three years of experience in the automotive, light, medium, heavy duty, construction vehicle/equipment parts industry
