This role involves hands-on maintenance, preventive maintenance program ownership, and technical support for complex laboratory and facility infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable testing operations.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Engineering Maintenance and Technical Support activities
Support day-to-day lab operations as well as future maintenance and planning initiatives
Create, implement, and execute preventive maintenance programs for laboratory and facility infrastructure
Troubleshoot and repair lab support systems, including:
Process HVAC systems
Mechanical equipment and utilities
Electrical distribution systems
Plumbing and piping systems
Utilize CMMS (Maximo preferred) for maintenance planning, execution, and documentation
Diagnose and troubleshoot facility operations using Building Management Systems (BMS)
Coordinate with internal teams, equipment suppliers, and installation contractors
Support commissioning, safe operation, and maintenance of new and existing test equipment
Monitor ongoing maintenance tasks and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership
Stay current on emerging test equipment technologies and maintenance best practices
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience in Engineering Maintenance or Technical Support within a laboratory, industrial, or test facility environment
Strong experience with preventive maintenance planning and execution
Experience using CMMS systems (Maximo highly preferred)
Ability to work independently in a complex environment with minimal supervision
Experience supporting emissions, energy, or certification testing equipment
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, one-line diagrams, electrical and control schematics
Strong collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Flexibility to work across all three shifts
Preferred
Experience with wind tunnel systems
Knowledge of mechanical pump circuits, steam systems, humidity control, RO and DI water systems
Exposure to predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, thermal imaging)
Experience in ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 accredited environments
Vendor and contractor coordination experience
