Responsibilities
Verify client insurance benefits and document coverage details in the electronic medical record
Communicate with insurance companies to obtain benefit information and prior authorizations for counseling and diagnostic services
Follow up on pending authorizations and help resolve denials or coverage issues
Explain insurance coverage and authorization status to clients in a clear, compassionate way
Support billing and administrative teams to ensure accurate and timely claims processing
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
1–2 years of experience in a medical or clinical setting required
Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, and billing processes
Strong communication skills and comfort with frequent phone interactions
Proficiency with electronic medical records, Excel, Outlook, and learning new systems
Ability to work independently in a shared office environment
Preferred
Education in healthcare administration or a related field
