Network Operations Center Engineer
NextGen is a telecom company seeking experienced Service Analysts (NOC) to join their Dallas team. The role involves monitoring network systems, troubleshooting outages, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors during incidents.
Responsibilities
Monitor network systems (IP, fiber, Private LTE) using monitoring tools and alarms
Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate outages or performance issues across wired and wireless networks
Open, manage, and update incident tickets within SLA requirements
Perform initial triage and basic root cause analysis
Communicate outages and updates clearly to customers, vendors, and internal teams
Coordinate with Tier 2/3 teams, RF engineers, and vendors during incidents
Document incidents, resolutions, and post-incident reports
Support scheduled maintenance and after-hours work as required
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in NOC operations or network monitoring
Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Customer-focused mindset and team collaboration skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Private LTE (PLTE) fundamentals and LTE/5G basics
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Altiplano, Manta Ray, NSP, etc.)
Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
Understanding of SLAs and escalation procedures
