Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain HR processes, policies, and documentation
Own employee relations, including investigations, performance management, and terminations
Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategy
Develop and manage performance management and compensation frameworks aligned with a merit-based culture
Ensure compliance with employment law, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and workers’ compensation
Maintain clean HR records, documentation, and internal controls
Identify systemic people-related issues and proactively address root causes
Serve as a trusted, direct advisor to leadership and managers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in growth-stage organizations (50–150 employees)
Demonstrated experience building HR systems and infrastructure from the ground up
Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance
Experience handling complex employee relations issues independently
High business acumen with an understanding of how HR decisions impact operations, finance, and service delivery
Direct communication style and comfort making and defending difficult decisions
Preferred
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification preferred but not required
