Head of ReCommerce Business Development
Tanga.com is an established ecommerce marketplace built for deal-seekers, and they are seeking a Head of ReCommerce Business Development to build and scale their ReCommerce operations. This role involves sourcing, onboarding, and growing supplier relationships across various ReCommerce channels, focusing on high-quality inventory and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
Aggressive Supply Acquisition: Identify and onboard high-volume ReCommerce suppliers, liquidators, refurbishers, asset recovery partners and OEMs
The "Tanga Advantage" Pitch: Sell the benefits of our "Deals-First" audience. Prove that Tanga is the best place for "Grade B" and "Open Box" inventory that higher-friction platforms reject
Strategic Relationship Development: Leverage existing relationships with Asset Recovery Managers and Reverse Logistics firms to secure exclusive inventory and deals
Channel Strategy: Partner with our marketing and engineering teams to ensure ReCommerce inventory is featured prominently in our daily "Featured Deals" and personalized email channels
Owns vendor sourcing strategy and leads recommendations on commercial terms, pricing structures, and supply models, in partnership with leadership
Evaluate supplier quality, grading accuracy, fulfillment reliability, and returns risk prior to onboarding
Partner with operations and customer support to monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively
Prioritize dropship capable partners to enable speed, flexibility, and capital-efficient growth
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years in business development, partnerships, or vendor acquisition in ecommerce, marketplace, recommerce, or related fields
Experience with refurbished goods, liquidation, asset recovery, or resale channels
Proven track record sourcing and negotiating with vendors or suppliers
Strong commercial instincts and contract negotiation experience
Excellent communication, relationship management, and project leadership skills
Highly self-motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, lean environment
Proven ability to take ownership from idea to execution, prioritize effectively, and drive results independently
Strong sense of accountability and comfort operating in ambiguous, early-stage business lines
Ability to balance autonomy with collaboration, knowing when to move fast solo and when to pull in teammates
Comfortable working closely with merchandising, operations, marketing, and technology partners
Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute beyond a defined job scope when needed
Excited to help build and shape processes in a small, growing ecommerce business
Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, dropship integrations, or marketplace operations
Comfortable with data analysis and performance tracking
