Responsibilities

Supervising up to 140 students in the LL.M. Academic Externship Program and the Advanced Legal Practicum Program (ALPP)
Determining the calendar, agenda, policy, in consultation with the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and Office of Graduate and International Programs, regarding the LL.M. Externship Program and ALPP
Drafting and maintain necessary program governing documents
Resolving issues that arise with field placements
Coordinating with the Office of Graduate Careers on policy changes to the LL.M. Externship program
Communicating with students, field placements and others to ensure strong engagement and quality administration of the program
Promoting the program

Required

J.D. required and 3+ years relevant professional experience
Experience managing large organizational tasks, demonstrating the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Experience in law school administration, experiential education pedagogy, and/or teaching
Experience advising law students or lawyers in professional formation and/or career path exploration
Experience evaluating and monitoring legal field placements
Experience ensuring law school curriculum meets applicable ABA Standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ability to focus on detail
An ability to problem solve, take initiative and quickly adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to work with a diverse range of people (including international and multi-lingual students) and circumstances (including knowledge of the etiquette of foreign countries and other cultures)
Demonstrated emotional maturity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, high profile environment
