Responsibilities
Serves as the technical expert to the team as it pertains to designing, developing, and maintaining software components and products
Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle including collaboration with technical teams
Serves as a mentor to associates performing software development, including coaching, guiding, and supporting performance
Mentors the team to ensure they follow coding design principles
Manages and provides ongoing status updates for respective team(s)
Follows department procedures to manage product changes and provides direction where needed
Enforces all coding best practices in development across the team
Creates and maintains documentation of design approaches
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in software development, design, and database operations
Previous experience building cloud-based SaaS applications
Experience in building modern micro-service applications and a relevant technology stack
Strong technical skills, including architectural patterns and how/when to implement
Experience with Agile Software development techniques including Scrum and Kanban
Strong knowledge of formal Algorithmic analysis and design
Experience with cloud-native environments, ideally Azure, but AWS or GCP will be considered as well
Preferred
Proficiency in developing production-grade, client-facing applications using React or an equivalent modern component based front end framework, with an emphasis on performance optimization, state management patterns, and modular architecture
Experience working within high volume, high throughput data processing environments, including exposure to distributed data platforms; Hands on familiarity with DataBricks and its associated data engineering workflows is considered advantageous
Demonstrated capability in architecting, implementing, and optimizing highly scalable, customer-facing APIs, including expertise in service decomposition, API versioning strategies, and performance tuning across microservice ecosystems
Strong aptitude for rapidly acquiring and integrating new technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns into production systems as organizational and platform needs evolve
