Responsibilities

General Ledger Close: Participate in and help execute on the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes assigned to meet internal and external financial reporting deadline requirements, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Internal Controls Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal control over financial reporting requirements. Assist in the documentation, testing, and remediation of internal controls over financial reporting
Audit Support: Prepare schedules and provide support for internal and external audits
Ad-hoc Analysis & Projects: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects as assigned by management
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., FP&A, Operations, Legal) to ensure accurate financial information and support business needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Detail-oriented individual with good organization and analytical skills
Good understanding of accounting principles
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Participate in and help execute on the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes assigned to meet internal and external financial reporting deadline requirements, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with internal control over financial reporting requirements
Assist in the documentation, testing, and remediation of internal controls over financial reporting
Prepare schedules and provide support for internal and external audits
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects as assigned by management
Work closely with other departments (e.g., FP&A, Operations, Legal) to ensure accurate financial information and support business needs
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting firm is highly desirable
CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA is preferred
Experience with aerospace and/or manufacturing industry accounting is desired
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Working proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Experience with close automation software like FloQast/Blackline desirable
Working proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
High level of integrity and professionalism
