Senior LevelBrooksource is seeking a Senior Tester/QA Analyst responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and correctness of enterprise-level, cloud-based systems. This role focuses on validating API-driven services and collaborating closely with Product Owners and development teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities
Participate as a full member of the Agile delivery team, supporting sprint planning, refinement, and reviews
Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to review user stories and acceptance criteria before development begins
Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done quality expectations
Provide early feedback on requirements to identify gaps, ambiguities, or edge cases
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned to user stories and business rules
Execute functional, integration, and regression testing for:
Core verification APIs
External data source integrations
Business rule evaluations and decision logic
Design and implement automated tests for backend APIs, focusing on repeatability and regression coverage
Contribute to automated testing using .NET-based test frameworks (e.g., unit or integration test patterns appropriate for APIs)
Validate end-to-end verification workflows, including automated, partial, and manual review paths
Validate that business rules are implemented as defined, including:
Correct rule evaluation logic
Expected outcomes and reason codes
Traceability to policy and requirements
Verify that verification outcomes are explainable and reproducible, supporting audit and compliance needs
Ensure changes to rules do not introduce unintended impacts to existing functionality
Test API integrations with external verification sources, including stubbed and live services
Validate data mappings, transformations, and error handling
Ensure appropriate handling of unavailable, partial, or error responses
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as a Tester or QA Analyst on complex systems
Experience testing API-driven or service-based applications
Ability to design test cases based on business rules and acceptance criteria
Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams
Working knowledge of .NET sufficient to read, understand, and contribute to test code
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Preferred
Experience testing policy-driven or rules-based systems
Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP methods, and response codes
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman or similar)
Exposure to test automation frameworks for .NET-based services
Experience in government, healthcare, or regulated environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
Experience supporting systems or initiatives aligned with federal guidelines or compliance-driven programs, such as HR1 (Work Requirements), CMS, or similar policy-driven efforts
