The role involves providing expertise in implementing the Health and Safety Management System and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities
Provide health and safety expertise and support to site management and supervisors
Support and challenge management in defining and prioritizing long-term HS strategies
Use specialized HS knowledge to drive behavioral change and improve safety performance
Participate in proposing, communicating, and implementing HS strategy across sites
Serve as a subject matter expert on key HS topics for the organization
Define dashboards to track safety performance; support KPI collection and analysis
Coach supervisors and managers on incident investigations and safe working conditions
Participate in and/or lead safety audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Advise operations on federal, state, and local regulatory compliance; support inspections
Benchmark and implement best practices from other sites or companies
Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies; promote a culture of safety
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5–7 years of relevant experience
Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
Valid driver's license required
Sound knowledge of health and safety principles, procedures, and regulations
Working knowledge of federal/state legislation (MSHA, WSIA, OSHA)
Ability to provide objective feedback to management
Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators if required
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Field of study preferred: Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Health & Safety, HSE
Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
Knowledge of document management software is a plus
