Distribution Engineering Analyst
Trident Consulting is a premier IT staffing firm providing high-impact workforce solutions to Fortune 500 and mid-market clients. They are hiring a Distribution Engineering Analyst to conduct field assessments, support grid modernization, and scope capital projects.
Responsibilities
Conduct field assessments and power system modeling (e.g., load flow studies)
Support grid modernization, infrastructure replacement, and resiliency programs
Scope capital projects including overhead/underground conductor replacements, programmable capacitor control, and fuse upgrades
Document and track projects using client’s Project Initiation Forms (PIFs) and Master Distribution Interface (MDI)
Provide recommendations and documentation for system and process improvements
Assist in training and guiding engineering teams on new tools and procedures
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of the distribution grid, automated equipment, and telemetry systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical maps and schematics
Familiarity with client applications (CYME, DMS, EMS, Circuit Viewer, ADMS, etc.)
Basic understanding of engineering principles and electric power flow
Experience with data validation, troubleshooting, and equipment testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Apps) for reporting and analysis
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks
Effective communication and collaboration skills with engineers, field crews, and stakeholders
