Test Engineer - NVH

Responsibilities

Prepare, conduct, and report results of vehicle interior noise testing with respect to tire fitment, which will require conducting testing while operating the vehicle, and exterior vehicle tire noise testing
Coordinate and present test findings to internal and external customers
Plan and prepare testing with technicians on-site and external teams when testing off-site
Conduct testing according to global legal standards or OE test requirements when applicable
Develop and continuously update test methodology
Maintain test equipment functionality and calibrations in accordance to internal and regulatory requirements
Conduct testing according to weather and customer timing which will require adaptability for work day start times and travel to other test locations

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical
Minimum 2 years experience in automotive or noise testing
Ability to conduct testing while operating a vehicle
Proficiency with ArtemiS, B&K, Muller BBM, or similar NVH data acquisition software
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technicians as well as internal and external customers
Ability to organize test schedule to meet of internal and external customers
Strong independent work ethic especially when testing off-site
Willingness to relocate to Uvalde, Texas, and travel as required for the role (less than 10% of the time)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is able to offer visa support for internal candidates or for those individuals who hold existing valid employment visas

Preferred

Master's Degree
Preferred 5 years experience in noise testing in the automotive or tire industry
Expertise in NVH data analysis, reporting, and presenting of technical findings
Advanced skills in test planning, execution, and evaluation
In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements and industry regulations
