Responsibilities
Responsible for creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, SolidWorks)
Responsible for analyzing 3D models and engineering drawings from other sources for engineering feasibility
Responsible for collaborating with electrical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical, acoustic, and electrical systems seamlessly
Responsible for conducting detailed analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize performance
Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including design specifications, DFMEAs, an open issues list, test plans, and technical reports to stakeholders
Responsible for performing and/or coordinating testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and final products to ensure functionality and reliability
Responsible for developing, reviewing, and presenting Technical Design Review materials to customers during the program quoting phase
Provide support toward the certification and ensure compliance with customer-required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc.)
Positions that fall under the functions of Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management are required to exercise a higher level of confidentiality and discretion in handling information the positions have access to
Prepare sample parts for appearance reviews with customers
Stay updated with the latest advancements in electro-mechanical engineering and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into designs
Perform other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (master's degree preferred), or approved equivalent
Knowledge of mechanical design, particularly in electro-mechanical automotive systems
Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB)
Understanding of electrical principles and their application in mechanical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Valid U.S. driver's license required
Hand tools include, but are not limited to, measurement devices like calipers, screwdrivers, sockets, etc
Usage of 3D scanners, 3D printers, and/or CNC machines
Problem Solving Skills
Verbal Communication Skills
Written Communication and Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with overseas teams through PowerPoint and other visual tools
Ability to speak and understand Japanese would be helpful but not required
CAD Software (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)

Travel with overnight stays
Required to work after-hours with overseas engineering teams
