Responsibilities

Serve as the lead within the plant for Company Quality initiatives including the implementation of the Primo Brands Quality Management System
Serves as Food Safety and Quality System (FSMS) Team Leader to ensure the training of Food Safety Team Members, ensures that the FSQS is established, implemented, maintained, and updated and reports to the Factory & Market Quality Managers on FSQS effectiveness & suitability Prepare for all Company Quality Audits, ISO audits and respond to issues
Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and sanitation activities
Track, analyze, and lead initiatives for all quality and customer complaint issues within the plant
Serve as plant liaison with the Customer Service Center, Consumer Affairs and with consumers for quality and complaint issues
Prepare and maintain permitting and licensing for the plant
Manage budgeting, purchasing and inventory of plant operating supplies such as filters, chemicals and lab supplies
Coordinate activities and develop good relationships with key vendors
Monitor the performance and competencies of plant QA staff and provide leadership, coaching and development as needed
Lead the execution of cultural changes and activities needed to support Primo Brands quality processes and procedures
Develop initiatives to improve plant performance against Primo Brands Quality measures and ensure plant compliance with company and regulatory standards
Provide day-to-day leadership to the QA Department and act as the primary liaison to Corporate QA departments, Corporate and outside laboratories, and to external regulatory agencies (FDA, IBWA, EPA, etc.)
May serve as plant representative for regional quality forums and initiatives

Required

3+ years of experience in quality assurance within clean (food, bev, pharma) manufacturing and 2+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity
3+ years of experience in a workplace safety, security, and environmental programs
Demonstrated application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's) and knowledge of GMP's
A minimum of 2 years of administration and compliance with State/Federal OSHA, EPA, and local Air Quality Management District
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business management software
Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on tight deadlines and delegate accordingly
Effective communication skills with the ability to influence change and encourage action
Solid problem-solving abilities with the ability to coach and mentor others in this capacity
Demonstrated track record of developing employees
Ability and willingness to respond to afterhours calls for critical issues and provide weekend coverage a few times/year

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in physical science is preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Familiarity with quality and hygiene regulations as it relates to FDA and state requirements preferred
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business management software (SAP preferred)
