Quality Technician
Surety HR, Inc. is a supportive organization that values independence and employee appreciation. They are seeking a Quality Technician to initiate and participate in the NCR process, support quality-related issues, and perform inspections to ensure adherence to specifications.
Responsibilities
Initiate and participate in NCR process
Provide support for quality-related issues internally and with customers and suppliers
Assist with quality audits
Use CMM to perform inspection
Regularly monitor the shop floor for accurate completion of in-process inspection reports and forms
Provide leadership in implementing and enforcing quality initiative and systems
Perform gage calibration and monitor the calibration system
Inspect manufactured components, including first piece, in-process, incoming, final, and first article inspections to ensure adherence to drawing specifications and/or manufacturing processes
Complete inspection documents
Train and assist staff as needed
Adhere to 5S cleanliness and organization standards
Move product throughout the facility using pallet jack
May be required to assist in other general shop functions as needed
Qualification
Required
Basic shop math
Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to execute solutions
Detail-oriented and accurate
Good written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in the use of basic hand tools
Proficiency in the use of precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometer, and dial indicator
Proficiency in using CMM
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometrics tolerances
Familiarity with CNC machining, fixturing, and tooling
Ability to work in team environment to achieve goals per a production schedule with minimal supervision
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day as scheduled
Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without of crane or hoist
Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
