Responsibilities
Management of the annual income tax return compliance process and related audits, including detailed review of U.S. Federal and state returns, including U. S. reporting of foreign operations
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of tax professionals to ensure the organization's tax strategy is implemented accurately and consistently and in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and standards. Build a culture of continuous process improvement
Develop and manage the TCA budget. Ensure compliance and address variances and other budget concerns
Oversee all TCA human resource management functions including hirings, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance management and staff productivity
Manage the implementation and execution of certain outsource/co-sourcing service provider agreements
Build strategic relationships both within and outside of the tax department
Administer cross-functional projects that span multiple departments and functions
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Eight (8) years of large U.S. corporate income tax experience (Federal, state, international)
Strong software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex information and to communicate with all levels of management and external vendors
Exceptional presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals
Demonstrated drive for achieving results
Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs
Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions
Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team
Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers and meet time sensitive deadlines
