The role focuses on supporting the development of fixed income indices, including design, verification, and release of new index builds, while also contributing to research publications and client-facing materials.

Responsibilities
Work with IDI product, R&D and quant teams to design and build bespoke and standard indices and prototypes to meet client demand
Contribute to research publications, market commentary, and index methodology documentation with clear, concise writing
Verification of new index builds and the validation of calculated data
Work with Python and large spreadsheets including both index and securities data, using the tools needed for the corresponding analysis
Analyze, interpret, and validate data and analytics both at the bond and index level
Work with databases and carry out analysis using Excel tools and/or Python
Command of and use of the ICE Index Platform will be fundamental to carry many tasks, e.g. Index Constituents, Profiling tool, Data Download, Custom Index tool, etc. Learning about the Platform will be on the job
Apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative work-flow efficiencies and process improvements resulting in increased accuracy levels
Prepare charts, tables, and written analysis to effectively communicate complex index data and trends to internal stakeholders and clients
Ad hoc research or data analysis to support IDI product team globally
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or Technology
Proficiency with Python and Microsoft Excel tools and formulas
Good Windows Office skills for Word, PowerPoint, etc. are also required
Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to comprehend complex materials and be able to link the dots
Ability to distill large amounts of information into specific takeaways
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences
Good organizational skills, with the ability to work under stringent time constraints, multi-task and prioritize workload
Familiar with common construction methodologies for equity and fixed income indices, and with index and portfolio analytics and associated systems
Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to learn and collaborate with others
Personable and with the ability to work as a part of a team and independently in a fast-paced, high pressured, fluid environment
Preferred
Familiarity with SQL scripts a plus
Professional certificates such CFA/CIPM are also a plus
