Responsibilities
Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to manufacturing and fixture designs
Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and design documentation
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to minimize dimensional risk and ensure product fit and function
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and manufacturing requirements
Design, validate, and improve manufacturing fixtures that are accurate, ergonomic, efficient, and cost-effective
Ensure fixtures integrate seamlessly with robots, conveyors, tools, and assembly equipment
Align fixture designs with assembly line process flow to avoid bottlenecks and improve operator usability
Partner with design, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to assess feasibility and manufacturability
Recommend and implement design and process improvements based on dimensional and quality analysis
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on part changes, tooling, and equipment requirements
Support transition of finalized designs and equipment into full production
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, dimensional, or quality engineering
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
Strong expertise in GD&T interpretation and application
5+ years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
Advanced analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-changing manufacturing environment
Must be local to Arizona
Preferred
Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
Background in fixture design and dimensional validation
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
