Customer Advocacy Manager

The Customer Advocacy Manager is responsible for building and activating a customer advocate ecosystem, establishing strong relationships, and creating scalable advocacy models to support business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Establish and modernize the customer reference program — build core processes and advocate profiles while designing scalable alternatives to traditional one-to-one references
Build the advocate pipeline — consolidate signals from CS, Sales, Product, NPS, usage, events, and community into a centralized, actionable pool
Create customer stories — interview customers and write case studies with Product Marketing and Content
Activate customers — support sales references, speaking opportunities, testimonials, quotes, logo usage, and campaign activations
Build trusted customer relationships — proactively establish, nurture, and manage relationships with customer advocates over time
Build systems and use AI — create scalable advocacy systems; apply AI and automation to advocate discovery, matching, outreach, and tracking
Think about impact — bring ideas to better measure advocacy effectiveness, including influence on revenue, pipeline, and deal support
Qualification
Required
3–7 years of experience in customer advocacy or customer marketing
Experience establishing, building, and managing strong customer relationships
Hands-on experience building and running customer reference programs
Curious, creative, and motivated to challenge traditional advocacy models
Comfortable using AI and modern tools to work more efficiently and effectively
Systems-oriented with comfort operating in ambiguity
Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator
Preferred
Experience interviewing customers and contributing to written customer stories or case studies is a plus
Experience with advocacy platforms, Salesforce dashboard building, or AI-powered tools is a plus
Experience in the content, CMS, or DXP space is a plus
