Responsibilities
Bench and fit both band saws and round saws
Maintain Micarta and Babbitt guides
Maintain filing equipment
Sharpen chipper knives
Perform machine center alignments on saws
Transport saws as needed
Change saws at machine centers
Discard and/or repair damaged saws
Follow safety standards and procedures at all times
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two (2) years of saw filing experience
Strong commitment to safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
Ability to troubleshoot problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations
Ability and willingness to join and maintain good standing in the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (required)
This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, including THC
