Responsibilities
Counterparty Credit Assessment: Assess the creditworthiness of financial institution counterparties using quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial performance, governance, and risk
Risk Appetite & Portfolio Oversight: Define, manage, and monitor credit risk appetite across derivatives, loans, funding, and deposits
Transaction Approval & Documentation: Approve derivative and funding transactions while ensuring appropriate documentation, collateral, and risk mitigants are in place
Credit Underwriting & Support: Underwrite lending transactions, develop credit recommendations, and support capital and credit committee approvals
Monitoring & Leadership: Monitor counterparties and subsectors, present risk insights to senior management, and lead and mentor junior credit professionals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
5+ years of experience covering financial institutions within counterparty credit risk, fixed income research, or institutional credit analysis, with senior-level responsibility preferred
Expertise across banks, broker-dealers, insurers, and other financial institutions, with strong familiarity in derivatives, funding, and lending products
Working knowledge of ISDA/CSA, MRA, MSFTA, and credit agreements, with familiarity applying internal and regulatory risk rating frameworks
Strong judgment with the ability to make independent credit decisions, clearly present credit views, manage priorities, and lead high-performing teams
