Responsibilities

Planning and improving manufacturing procedures and operations
Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item
Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo PTC / SolidWorks
Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements
Designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts

Required

Bachelor's degree in an Mechanical or Industrial Engineering field from an accredited college
Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Preferred

Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design, engineering materials, general manufacturing / integration processes
Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, Creo PTC, or SolidWorks
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
Troubleshooting production issues using failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions (RC/ CA)
Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions and Bill of Materials (BoM)
