Responsibilities
Support the assembly, repair, and preparation of UAS platforms for testing and operations
Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical work, including:
Wiring, soldering, and crimping
Installing and configuring aircraft components
Support flight test readiness, including:
Pre-flight inspections and checklists
Equipment preparation and logistics
Battery charging and readiness tracking
Operate and maintain in-house 3D printers to support prototyping and aircraft builds
Perform light CAD work as needed to modify or create simple parts
Assist with inventory and parts tracking for lab components and consumables
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues as they arise
Maintain accurate documentation, checklists, and process notes to support repeatability
Qualification
Required
0–5 years of hands-on technical experience in a lab, test, or build environment (preferred)
Strong hands-on skills working with electronics and hardware
Ability to follow technical procedures, checklists, and engineering documentation
Comfortable working directly on aircraft, electronics, and test equipment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work on-site in a lab environment
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred
Prior experience with UAVs, robotics, or aerospace systems
Experience with 3D printing and basic CAD tools
Familiarity with flight controllers or avionics systems
Experience supporting test or field operations
Background in inventory systems or technical documentation
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
