Responsibilities

Assists the RVP in the direction, development, and implementation of operational and organizational goals and objectives
Directs and oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned practices and establishes guidelines to prioritize work production, evaluate effectiveness, and improve the quality of services provided
Ensures AP operational Quality Assurance standards are being met within assigned region, and manages and measures AP productivity standards
Anticipates and monitors client satisfaction trends; and engages in marketing activities to develop and maintain relationships
Creates and maintains relationships within the medical community in collaboration with Sales to cultivate new business, and enhance the practice’s position in the marketplace
Routinely evaluates and monitors expenses for assigned practices by department and implements appropriate actions based on variance to trends and budgets
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies
Professionally represents assigned practices in their relationships with healthcare organizations, government agencies, and third party payers

Required

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
Minimum of seven (7) years' managerial experience in laboratory administration and/or healthcare administration
Adherence to CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Safety, EPA and OSHA Regulations
Knowledge of CAP: College of American Pathologists, healthcare administration and policies and operating procedures
Knowledge of P&L management, fiscal management systems and techniques
Knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision and staff development

Preferred

MBA or MHA preferred
