Responsibilities
Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and policy concerns
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, deliveries, and/or badge verification in accordance with site policies
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed
Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
CPR certification is preferred
