Accounting Assistant - Accounts Payable
Del Mar College is a higher education institution, and they are seeking an Accounting Assistant for their Finance and Operations department. The main purpose of this role is to manage payments to suppliers for goods and services, including processing and verifying invoices.

Responsibilities
Data entry of daily vendor invoices; calling corresponding departments regarding discrepancies in invoices; Working with vendors to resolve issues; copying and transmitting invoices when needed
Assist with reconciling P-Card and travel transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with Del Mar policies
Filing vendor invoices; disbursing checks to vendors; requesting stop payments and requesting re-issues of checks when needed
Working with department budget questions that involve invoices posted to their accounts; conduct annual closing procedures by reviewing all purchase orders with purchasing department for accounts payable accrual
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or higher •AND• three (3) years related experience
Five (5) years related experience
Work requires a comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field or general computer software skills with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization
Examples include use of spreadsheets, databases, and electronic submission of reports to outside agencies
