Human Resources Personnel Manager
Jay Nolan Community Services is seeking a Human Resources Personnel Manager to join their leadership-focused HR team. This role serves as a key advisor to leadership on HR policies and processes, supporting staffing and employee relations needs while ensuring compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities
Support the COO and leadership with off‑boarding and sensitive separations
Build strong relationships with leaders and HR partners
Oversee compliance with labor laws and internal HR standards
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and performance management
Maintain documentation and protocols related to HR practices
Address workplace concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment
Lead internal investigations and serve as the first point of contact for legal claims
Partner with legal counsel on risk mitigation and compliance issues
Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to best practices
Supervise assigned staff
Qualification
Required
Strong project management and prioritization skills
Service‑oriented approach with strong partnership abilities
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and HR systems
Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
5+ years of HR or client‑service experience
SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification
