Space Planning Manager
Ace Retail Group is a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, operating over 250 stores nationwide. The Space Planning Manager will oversee the strategic allocation, design, and management of store layouts and planograms to optimize sales productivity, including the development of store layouts and procurement of store fixtures.

Responsibilities
Support the Merchandising team with category footage recommendations for proposed resets, utilizing planogram performance reporting to develop store specific recommendations
Support major program rollouts (Elevate, Stihl, The Kitchen Connection, Apparel, etc.) and ACE level 3 (multiple categories within a department) reset initiatives providing adjacency, positioning and flow recommendations and adjustments to store layouts where necessary
Oversee the identification and procurement of fixtures (gondola and non-gondola) for new and existing stores. Work with ACE partners to support fulfillment and custom fixture orders for overall store projects or store-specific programs (Stihl, etc.)
Oversee the identification and procurement of Point-of Purchase (POP) materials for new and existing stores
Manage the CapEx fixture requests
Lead the fixture & merchandising efforts on select new store projects and program additions
Develop store layouts, including fixtures, merchandise, and décor element placement for new and remodel stores along with program additions
Analyze space utilization data to identify trends and optimize space in stores
Review sku assortment data to ensure alignment with business priorities for each new store location
Work with the Facility Manager(s) on store layout placement of electrical, signage, structure, and other utility concerns on new and existing stores
Visit new/remodel/existing stores to create store layouts of fixtures and merchandise
Communication with select vendors (I.e., Stihl, Rain Bird, etc…) to secure planogram layouts and schedule in-store sets
Full responsibility for planogram status meetings with key members of the Merchandising, Inventory Management and Pricing departments
Management and adherence to planogram timelines to ensure complete and accurate planograms are launched according to the schedule
Development and maintenance of the planogram processes to account for an increase in store count and complexity
Assist Merchant and Vendor partners with the development and maintenance of planograms
Produce reports to identify mock-ups and other items needing to be submitted to ensure planogram integrity
Utilize JDA, Floor Planning, Space Planning, Word, Excel, and Power Point to complete job functions
Responsible for the Planogrammers creating planograms
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS/BA Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Degree in Business Management or Drafting and background experience with Space and Floor Planning and Computer Aided Design (CAD) preferred
Knowledge of gondola fixtures
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with diverse departments and management levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, be highly self-motivated
Analytical thinker, team player, customer-focused, business minded
Ability to develop long-range plans and align space decisions with overarching business goals
Strong working knowledge of Excel (charts, X and VLookUp's, data manipulation and macro execution)
Thorough understanding of MS Word and strong skills in PowerPoint to support category presentations
Experience with JDA, Space Planning, Floor Planning and CAD a plus
Travel as required
