Mechanical Design Engineering Intern
FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. is a recognized leader in the manufacturing and design of durable and productive drop-on-demand inkjet printheads. The Mechanical Design Engineering Intern will work alongside a team to analyze problems in a manufacturing environment and create solutions to improve manufacturing precision and quality.

Responsibilities
Produce 3D SolidWorks component and assembly models as well as detailed drawings
Optimize models for manufacturability, assembly and maintenance
Document new designs through an Engineering Change Request (ECR) process
Interface closely with Documentation Control team, Manufacturing Engineering Team, Production Team and Manufacturing Technicians, Equipment Maintenance Team and Engineering management
Qualification
Required
Completing a course of studies in the Engineering discipline or other technical area
Solidworks Experience
Ability to perform work independently to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with peers and project teams
Ability to problem-solve using scientific methods and engineering principles to arrive at practical solutions
Technical aptitude
Mechanical aptitude
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Experience troubleshooting mechanical components
Ability to sketch ideas to effectively communicate with others
SAP or ERP system exposure
Solidworks Associate Certificate
