Responsibilities

Lead and support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds for new and revised products
Provide DFM/DFA input during design reviews and quoting activities
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting, press brakes, tube benders, and robotic MIG welding cells
Develop production-ready programs directly from 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
Resolve cutting, forming, bending, and welding issues; reduce scrap and downtime using structured problem-solving methods
Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities including process validation and run-at-rate
Design and improve tooling, fixtures, setup sheets, work instructions, and visual aids
Ensure manufacturing processes meet IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
Lead or support safety, throughput, and process capability improvement initiatives
Support new equipment, automation, and robotic cell installation, debug, and optimization

Required

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience
3–5 years of experience supporting CNC manufacturing processes in a metal stamping or fabrication environment
Hands-on experience with multiple of the following: CNC laser cutting, Press brake forming, CNC tube bending, Robotic MIG welding cells
Strong CAD/CAM skills, with the ability to independently create and modify programs
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and welding symbols
Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
Comfortable working independently on the manufacturing floor and supporting multiple production areas

Preferred

Experience in an IATF 16949 automotive or heavy truck environment
Familiarity with OEM or Tier 1 customer-specific requirements
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Amada Dr. Abe, RoboGuide, or similar
Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and launch activities
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
