Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components including pumps, valves, tubing, fittings, and sensor assemblies using CADD software (Creo preferred)
Perform fluid dynamics analysis including pressure-flow calculations, pumping technologies, and control valve behavior
Lead disciplined problem solving using DMAIC / 8D / A3 methodologies
Create and maintain detailed drawings, specifications, and BOMs; manage Engineering Change Management (Windchill preferred)
Plan and execute testing, analyze experimental data using statistical analysis , and drive design improvements
Collaborate with software, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated system solutions
Assess project scope, define resources, and lead technical teams to achieve project milestones
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
Strong knowledge of fluidics, pressure-flow analysis, pumping technologies, and control valves
Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and supplier collaboration
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and enforce design standards and processes
Preferred
Experience with stage-gate development processes and requirements cascade
Software algorithm development using MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C
Test system development and automation using LabVIEW, PLCs, and electrical/hydraulic schematics
Hands-on experience with micro-pump testing and failure analysis
