HR & Recruiting Coordinator– Security Staffing & Onboarding (California)
Confidential company is seeking an experienced HR & Recruiting Coordinator to support high-volume staffing operations within the California security services industry. This role is primarily responsible for full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration, with a strong focus on California labor law compliance.

Responsibilities
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for security personnel, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding
Post and manage job ads on Indeed and other recruiting platforms
Recruit for high-volume security officer positions, including unarmed and armed roles
Maintain an active candidate pipeline to support ongoing operational staffing needs
Coordinate hiring needs with operations, scheduling, and management teams
Meet weekly hiring benchmarks based on contract and service demands
Track applicant flow and prepare weekly recruiting activity and hiring reports
Coordinate and process new hire onboarding in compliance with California labor laws
Complete and maintain: I-9 employment eligibility documentation, New hire packets and onboarding forms, Background checks and DMV driving record reviews (as required)
Ensure timely distribution and retention of California-required new hire notices and disclosures
Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee personnel files
Support HR recordkeeping in accordance with BSIS and California employment regulations
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the onboarding process
Utilize and maintain employee data within the company HRIS (Rippling experience preferred)
Assist with phone coverage, email correspondence, and voicemail responses (same business day preferred)
Maintain organization and inventory of the Uniform Room
Drive company vehicles for business-related tasks as needed
Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience
Working knowledge of California HR compliance, including onboarding and documentation requirements
Experience with I-9 processing, background checks, and DMV pulls
HRIS experience required; Rippling experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Clean driving record
Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
