Senior Systems Administrator (GCC High)
Meritec is seeking talented team players in their Painesville, Ohio facility who are committed to pushing the boundaries of interconnect technology performance and innovation. The Senior Systems Administrator will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure in a manufacturing-first, compliance-driven environment, directly supporting production operations and critical business systems.

Responsibilities
Administer and secure the Office 365 GCC High environment, ensuring compliance and operational continuity
Provide senior-level support for ERP (Macola) and Business Process Software (Synergy) supporting manufacturing operations
Design, maintain, and optimize servers, systems, and network infrastructure with a focus on uptime and reliability
Administer and support Microsoft products including permissions, security controls, and user support
Ensure infrastructure and all associated technology meets IPO/SOX, audit, and regulatory requirements
Serve as the primary escalation point for production-impacting or high-severity incidents
Troubleshoot and resolve critical system and application issues with urgency to minimize downtime
Participate in on-call rotations and perform after-hours maintenance, upgrades, and emergency support when needed
Oversee and guide desktop and helpdesk support, meeting standards for responsiveness and documentation
Establish and enforce best practices for system security, backups, disaster recovery, and incident response in a regulated manufacturing environment
Maintain system documentation, incident reports, and root-cause analyses
Communicate clearly and effectively with users across manufacturing, corporate, and executive teams, adapting communication style as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent senior-level experience
Significant systems administration experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven settings (IPO, SOX, or similar)
Strong Microsoft administration experience, including Office 365 GCC High
Experience supporting ERP systems and manufacturing business software (Macola, Synergy)
Advanced knowledge of Windows servers, networking, virtualization, and security
Ability to work calmly and decisively in high-pressure, production-critical situations
Willingness and availability to provide on-call and after-hours support
