STUDENT SUCCESS COACH
Del Mar College is a higher education institution seeking a Student Success Coach to provide daily support for students. The role involves scheduling appointments, conducting workshops, and coordinating support services to enhance students' academic performance and success.

Responsibilities
Scheduling appointments with students who need assistance with basic college knowledge, who need the development of academic success plans, and who are in need of student skill enhancement. Also, the Student Success Coach will provide student support services information
Coordinate Texas Success Initiative efforts for students needing assistance coming to Student Success Center
Conduct one-on-one student workshops and faculty presentations
Assist and effectively represent SSC with activities throughout campus, to include, but not limited to, New Student Orientation, registration days, media, general public and other campus sponsored events
Utilize case management principles of advocacy, assessment, and service facilitation to advance the achievement of goals and link students to the appropriate resources and following-up when necessary
Provide monthly reports and produce data sheets
Maintains up-to-date documentation and progress of student needing assistance with TSI EXAM, Math and English/Reading sections
Perform related duties as assigned by SSC Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Communication, or related field AND five (5) years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related student-facing experience
OR- Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Communication, or related field AND two (2) years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related student-facing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage, research and organize multiple projects and self-direct within changing deadlines
Ability to relate to a diverse faculty population
Knowledgeable in mentoring traditional, non-traditional, developmental, and at-risk students in a higher education setting
Ability to mentor students and monitor follow up
Ability to conduct student-workshops
Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage conflict
Knowledgeable of FERPA laws
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to utilize interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a multi-cultural environment
Knowledgeable about standardized testing and testing best practices
Preferred
Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Communication, or related field
Two (2) years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience
Student outreach/mentoring experience
Understanding of the college's general admissions requirements, general financial aid requirements, general department requirements, and academic support services
Knowledge in interpreting the college's catalog
Skilled in use of database related software such as Datatel/Colleague, Maxient, and Civitas
Knowledge of FERPA laws
