Technical Sales Engineer/ Manager (Contract Manufacturing)
GACC Midwest is the U.S. subsidiary of an established international industrial group specializing in advanced joining and materials processing technologies. The Technical Sales Engineer/Manager will drive business growth by serving as the technical and commercial interface between customers and internal engineering teams, focusing on consultative sales and contract manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in advanced contract manufacturing and technical services
Manage the full sales cycle: customer engagement → RFQ coordination → technical clarification → proposal alignment → contract discussion
Review customer drawings/specifications and assess manufacturability in collaboration with engineering teams
Act as the primary technical and commercial point of contact for U.S. customers
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and operations teams in the U.S. and Europe for smooth handover into execution
Support feasibility reviews, customer site visits, audits, and technical evaluations
Monitor customer feedback, market trends, and competitive activity to support commercial strategy
Represent the organization in technical customer meetings, workshops, and selected trade shows
Qualification
Required
Degree in engineering, industrial technology, business, or comparable hands-on manufacturing experience
Several years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or customer-facing roles within a contract manufacturing or advanced manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturability
Experience supporting longer-cycle B2B sales processes in technical or regulated industries
A consultative mindset and ability to explain complex topics clearly and confidently
Self-driven working style with comfort operating independently in a growing U.S. organization
Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and technical discussions
Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally in an international environment
